Henry Taylor

Henry Taylor is a Los Angeles artist known for painting, sculpture, installation, and a restless use of everyday materials. His work looks closely at Black life, family, public figures, neighbors, and strangers, often moving between portraiture and social observation. He earned a BFA from CalArts in 1995 after years of working as a psychiatric technician at Camarillo State Mental Hospital.
